BONVO

Testimonials

The first people Bonvo worked with.

Bonvo is a young practice, so these aren't client reviews — they're recommendations from the colleagues Gergely has built and shipped alongside at Affinitext. They are the practice's founding testimonials: the people who saw the work up close, wrote it down, and put their names to it.

Seven recommendations

In their own words.

Engineers, architects, testers, and analysts who worked with Gergely across three-plus years — on the migrations, the production incidents, and the day-to-day.

I had the pleasure of working with Gergely over the past 3.5 years, and he consistently stood out for his collaborative spirit and genuine team-first mindset. He is the kind of person who lifts those around him, is always eager to learn, is quick to support his colleagues, and is unfailingly positive in his approach. One project that showcased his capabilities was the Celery project, where he took on the substantial task of rewriting a legacy Job Server into a modern system. He delivered this with zero downtime, ensuring complete business continuity throughout — a testament to his diligence and commitment. Beyond the technical work, what I valued most was Gergely's attitude. He brings energy, humility, and a real willingness to grow, and he makes any team better simply by being part of it, and I recommend him warmly.

Graham ThomsonChief Executive Officer·Affinitext

I worked with Gergely at Affinitext, where I was the lead developer, and he was a senior Python developer. I can say with confidence that he is one of the best engineers I have worked with. Gergely was responsible for our CI/CD pipelines and monitoring, and he was always the person we called when something went wrong in production. He also led the effort to clean up and modernize our old Python codebase, which was no small task. He solved some very difficult technical problems during his time with us — things like database incidents, complex migration issues, and performance problems in our backend. These are not easy situations, and he always handled them well. But what I appreciate most about Gergely is how he communicates. He can explain technical concepts simply to non-technical people, which is uncommon for a developer at his level. This made him very valuable not just on the engineering team, but across the whole company.

Krisztián KatonaLead Developer·Affinitext

I worked with Gergely for three years at Affinitext. As a frontend developer, coordinating with the backend can sometimes mean a lot of shifting tasks back and forth, but with Gergely, our collaboration was always smooth sailing. We worked closely on a project that needed both tricky bug fixes and new features across the stack. He was great to partner with — we'd sit down, map out exactly what was needed, and agree on the best communication mechanisms and design patterns before diving in. Beyond his technical skills, Gergely is super proactive about team processes. He noticed our ticketing system needed an upgrade, so he went ahead and built better templates that made tracking and handing off issues much easier for everyone. He also pushed forward some really useful AI workflow improvements. He's a great teammate, writes solid code, and genuinely cares about making the whole team more efficient. I highly recommend him.

Razvan GantuFront-End Angular Architect·Affinitext

I had the pleasure of working alongside Gergely, and it was one of the most enjoyable collaborations of my career. He brings a rare combination of energy, integrity, and curiosity to everything he does. Gergely is genuinely up to date with the AI landscape and the latest tools and methodologies, and what stood out most was his willingness to share that knowledge with the whole team — constantly experimenting with new tools to find better, faster ways of working. Beyond the technical side, Gergely is the kind of person who holds a team together: helpful, approachable, and always ready to support others. Working with him was a real privilege, and I sincerely hope our paths cross again. Any team would be lucky to have him.

Gergő VeresTest Automation Engineer·Affinitext

I worked with Gergely at Affinitext and was genuinely impressed by both his technical ability and the way he works with people. He's a strong engineer, careful, reliable, and someone who stays calm when things get busy. He was always willing to share what he knew, help others work through tricky problems, and explain complex topics in a way that was clear and easy to follow. He's also just easy to work with: thoughtful, friendly, and steady when things get stressful. I'd gladly work with Gergely again, and I'd recommend him to any team looking for a skilled engineer and a dependable teammate.

Karol KozikowskiSoftware Engineer·Affinitext

Gergely is a helpful and enthusiastic workmate who I liked to work with. He always provided details and scenarios for the manual testing so we always had enough information about the changes. Very communicative, could discuss about any issue effectively. He had ideas how to upgrade the work progress and implemented several methods which made our work easier. Fast and reliable person, demanding in his work, so easy to cooperate with him. Just some examples where he made outstanding work: checkin system refactoring, remaking Lucene/PyLucene and Celery based processes, frontend, design, logging fixes, setting up OpenReplay, PostgreSQL operations, admin interface modifications, SSO authentication, metadata handling and so on. I recommend him highly and hope to work with him again in the future.

Gabor GregusSoftware Tester & QA·Affinitext

I had the pleasure of working with Gergely at Affinitext, where we collaborated closely on newly developed functions, complex production issues, and product improvements. As a Business Analyst, I really valued his ability to understand both the technical details and the bigger business picture. Even under tight deadlines, he remained solution-oriented, reliable, and easy to work with. I would gladly recommend Gergely to any team looking for a strong, collaborative colleague in software or product development.
